Three is approaching

We are only two months away from having a 3-year-old. And I am reminded of it everyday. The tantrums have stopped for the most part. I think Matt and I did a good job of ignoring them and not letting them control our lives.
The talking is non-stop. We REALLY Have to watch what we say around Diana because she says everything! Grand V asked Diana the other day "What's up?" And now, Diana says "What's up?" all day. Matt turned the Giants game on the other day while Diana and I were eating dinner, they were losing and he said "Oooooh Maaaaaan!" Now, Diana says "Oooooooh Maaaaaan" all the time. You can ask her to say something and she tries her best to say it. She constantly refers to herself as "Di-Ana Borchert." As long as she doesn't call herself "Anna Borchert" anymore, I am happy.
The other night when we were getting ready to go to bed, Diana grabbed "Choo-Choo Guy" which is a stuffed teddy bear dressed like a train conductor, and she gave him a big hug and said "nigh nigh, choo-choo guy." Then, she grabbed his hand and had him wave good-bye to me. "Nigh nigh mommy." She's just the dearest sweetest little thing sometimes. That far outweighs all the trouble she gives us with potty training.
That's a topic I am not going to get into right now. The girl can't be bribed. If she can't have her letter cookies because she won't go pee, then it's "Eh, Ok. No biggie."
Hopefully, by the time she goes to Stanford, she'll be potty trained.
